This is a key and roto shot that I completed in early 2020. It began as part of a brief for my specialism during my degree at Escape Studios. I decided that keying was the most significant area of my skills that was lacking at the time because we’d spent very little time covering it as part of the course. Almost the entire shot is keyed but her hand is rotoscoped when she places it on the pole at the end of the shot.

Since completing this shot and graduating from Escape Studios, I have been able to complete 120+ keying shots while freelancing. If you’d like to know more, read about my work on Christmas In Storyland.
