An isolated man is introduced to a groundbreaking system that allows its users to literally step inside old photographs – stirring powerful emotions in the process.

One of Us was tasked with the visual effects for Eulogy, episode five of season seven of Black Mirror. I was the roto/prep supervisor for the show, responsible for bidding, briefing, and QC. I worked with a mix of our internal team and outsource vendor. The show involved a lot of freezing actors as they were supposed to be frozen in time, like a photo. This became quite involved with the large crowd sizes in some of the scenes. There were also large roto requirements for the show to hold out various elements of the scenes to be modified with photographic artefacts or cut off the dark edges of the set.
